2024 Semifinalist
New York, N.Y. (Nov. 5, 2024) – The Friends of John Mackey have released the 2024 John Mackey Award Semifinalist. Given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end, the award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee. Winner Announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards December 12th.

Tight End of the Week 9
During Week 9's game against Michigan State, Colston Loveland, played a crucial role in the Wolverines’ victory over the Michigan State Spartans in a close game. Loveland caught 2 touchdown passes and a 2-point conversion, helping Michigan secure a 24-17 win against their rival. Honorable mentions are Dylan Hasz, Arkansas and Brant Kuithe, Utah.
Tight End of the Week 8
During Week 8's game against Kent State, Fannin's 171 receiving yards helped him break the school record for career receiving yards by a tight end. He also had 10 receptions. Honorable mentions are Blake Bosma, Western Michigan, with 6 receptions for 85 yards and 3 tds. Mitchell Evans, Notre Dame, had 4 receptions for 26 yards. He played a significant role in blocking for Notre Dame. And Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt, with 8 receptions for 130 yards and 1 td.
Tight End of the Week 7
In Week 7, Tyler Warren, Penn State had an amazing game. He had 17 catches, 224 yards, 1 td, rushed for 4 yards and threw 1 pass for 9 yards. Honorable mentions are Jake Briningstool, Clemson, and Jack Endries, California.
Tight End of the Week 6
In Week 6, Eli Stowers, former Denton Guyer star and now Vanderbilt Commodores tight end, played a key role in the biggest college football upset of the season so far. Stowers had a game-leading 113 yards against Alabama, averaging a whopping 18.8 yards per reception. Honorable mentions: Oronde Gadsden, Syracuse, in upset win over UNLV. Tanner Koziol, Ball St and Harold Fannin, Bowling Green.
Tight End of the Week 5
In Week 5, Harold Fannin Jr., the tight end for the Bowling Green Falcons, had an outstanding performance. He set a career-high with 12 catches for 188 receiving yards, which was tied for the most by any player in the nation for the week and the top mark for a tight end this season. Honorable mentions are Matt Lauter, Boise, and Keyan Burnett, Arizona.
Tight End of the Week 4
In Week 4, Harold Fannin Jr. from Bowling Green had an outstanding performance vs Texas A&M. He recorded 145 receiving yards on eight receptions, including a 65-yard touchdown. Honorable mentions are Tanner Koziol and Nicky Dalmolin.
Tight End of the Week 3
In Week 3, Mason Taylor had an impressive performance in LSU’s 36-33 win over South Carolina. He caught six passes for 58 yards, with 41 yards coming after the catch. Three of his receptions resulted in first downs, showcasing his reliability and impact on the game. The honorable mentions are Anthony Landphere, Memphis 5-66, 1 td vs Florida St. and Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt 9-110, td vs Georgia St.
Tight End of the Week 2
In Week 2 of the 2024 season, Tyler Warren had an outstanding performance. He set a new program record for receiving yards by a tight end in a single game, with 8 receptions for 146 yards. The honorable mentions are Harold Fannin, & Jake Briningstool.
Tight End of the Week 1
In Week 1, Colston Loveland finished the game with 8 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. Honorable Mentions include Elijah Arroyo, Miami, FL 4-89 (L/29) in 41-17 win over Florida. Brant Kuithe, Utah, only played against Southern Utah but had 3 td's on 4 catches for 69 yards.

TIGHT END OF THE WEEK 9: New York, N.Y. - The John Mackey Award has named Jack Velling, Oregon State 5-71 yds, td. Veiling leads FBS TE’s with 8 td’s. Honorable mentions for this week include: Brett Seither, Georgia Tech 2-40 yds, 2 td’s. Jake Briningstool, Clemson 8-93 yds. Briningstool has 219 yards in the last two games.
